Bakin' Bacon (Partner, let me upgrade you...)
You will never cook bacon the same way again. Let me repeat, if you're a bacon lover, and a stove top cooker... You will never cook bacon the same way again. Like Taylor Swift said, "We are never ever, ever, getting back together." And that is exactly what you're going to say to the tired old way of cooking bacon. Placing 3-5 slabs of bacon, that barely even fit, in a pan, covering the top (maybe, if you have a mesh pan cover), trying not to splatter fat all over your recently cleaned stove top. Also, I don't know about you, but I burn myself when when I flip my bacon. And it very frequently cooks evenly and consistently. For the low price of $49.95/month, or three easy pay installments of your first born child, you too can have perfect bacon; burn free, mess free. But wait... There is more! What if I told you that you didn't have to sacrifice your first born, or even buy something special to cook the bacon in?!?! Would you be slightly less appalled, and indefinitely more interested? Good, because all you need is a baking sheet and some parchment paper. There's also waaay less clean up and the bacon cooks evenly. My husband said "I didn't even really like bacon", (insert face of shock and awe) "but this is really good." You basically put parchment paper on a baking sheet, layer it with as little or as much bacon as you can fit side by side and bake it. Now watch me break it down into steps...
Equipment: Baking Sheet Parchment Paper
Instructions: 1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. 2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. 3. Lay down the desired amount of bacon you are looking to cook. (We cooked like 8 pieces on one baking sheet.) 4. Bake for 18-21 minutes. (Keep in mind that if you're baking 2-4 slices, you might want to check it at 13-15 minutes.) 5. Remove the bacon and allow it to rest on a paper towel before eating. You don't have to worry about draining the fat, flipping the bacon or anything like that! Make a BLT, eat some breakfast, wear it as a hat. Enjoy!
